Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of fiberandfunction.com and the services provided by Fiber & Function: Equine Therapies. Please read them before using this site or booking services.

Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book services.

Scope of Practice

This is the most important section on this page. Please read it carefully.

Jenni Jensen is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and holds certification in equine bodywork and nutrition. She is not a veterinarian and does not practice veterinary medicine.

Services provided by Fiber & Function — including bodywork, manual lymphatic drainage, therapeutic massage, scar work, rehabilitation support, nutrition consulting, and hair tissue mineral analysis — are complementary wellness services. They are not veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or medical care.

Specifically, Fiber & Function does not:

  • Diagnose illness, injury, or disease
  • Prescribe or administer medication
  • Perform veterinary medical or surgical procedures
  • Replace or substitute for veterinary care

Your horse should be under the care of a licensed veterinarian. Bodywork and nutrition services are intended to work alongside veterinary care, not instead of it. If your horse shows signs of illness, injury, lameness, or distress, contact your veterinarian.

Rehabilitation and Veterinary Collaboration

Rehabilitation support services are provided as an adjunct to a veterinarian’s treatment plan. We may request veterinary clearance before beginning work with a horse recovering from injury, surgery, or illness.

Nutrition Consulting and HTMA Testing

Hair tissue mineral analysis is a screening tool that reports mineral levels in a hair sample. HTMA results are not a diagnostic test and do not identify disease.

Nutrition recommendations are educational guidance based on your horse’s reported program, history, and test results. They are not veterinary prescriptions. You are responsible for any changes you make to your horse’s diet, and significant dietary changes should be discussed with your veterinarian.

Laboratory analysis is performed by an independent third-party laboratory. We do not control the laboratory’s methods, accuracy, or turnaround times.

Supplement Recommendations

Supplement recommendations reference third-party products that we do not manufacture, sell, or control. We make no warranty regarding the safety, quality, efficacy, or labeling accuracy of any third-party product. Any purchase is a transaction between you and that manufacturer or retailer.

No Guarantee of Results

Every horse responds differently. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, improvement, or result from any service. Descriptions of typical responses on this website are informational and are not promises of what your horse will experience.

Client Responsibilities

By booking services, you confirm that:

  • You are the owner of the horse, or are authorized by the owner to arrange services
  • You have disclosed known health conditions, injuries, behavioral concerns, and medications
  • You have disclosed any history of aggression or handling difficulty
  • The horse will be appropriately restrained and handled during the session
  • A safe, suitable working area will be available
  • You will provide accurate information about your horse’s current program and history

Failure to disclose relevant health or behavioral information may affect our ability to work safely and may result in a session being ended.

Assumption of Risk

Horses are large, unpredictable animals. Working with horses carries inherent risk of injury to handlers, practitioners, and the horses themselves. By booking services, you acknowledge these inherent risks.

Booking, Cancellation, and Payment

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less notice may be subject to a fee of [amount or percentage]. Payment is due [timing] and may be made by [methods]. Travel beyond [radius] may incur an additional fee, quoted before booking.

Service Area

In-person services are provided in the Enumclaw region and surrounding areas of Washington State. Availability outside that area is at our discretion and may involve additional travel fees.

Virtual nutrition consulting and HTMA services are available in other locations. Availability of virtual services in any given jurisdiction is subject to applicable law.
