About
Meet Jenni
Jenni Jensen, LVT, CEFNP
My passion for horses began long before I owned my first one. Like a lot of horse-crazy kids, I spent every opportunity I could around them. When I bought my first horse in college, that passion turned into something lasting — a commitment to equine health and wellness that's shaped everything since.
Clinical Training
I've worked in veterinary medicine since 2006 and hold a Bachelor of Science in Organismal Biology. I've been a licensed veterinary technician since 2015, which means nearly two decades of clinical experience caring for animals.
That path led naturally into equine rehabilitation bodywork. I'm currently studying at the Northwest School of Animal Massage, where I'm building a deeper appreciation for how movement, muscle health, and the body's own healing processes work together.
Martha
My approach to equine wellness was transformed by my own mare, Martha.
I rehabilitated her from severe neglect, and later took on managing her Equine Recurrent Uveitis. That's when I started researching the connection between nutrition, inflammation, and overall health in earnest. I moved her to a forage-based, anti-inflammatory diet, and the change was dramatic — she came off daily NSAIDs entirely and needed significantly less UV protection than before.
Watching that happen, in my own barn, with my own horse, reinforced something I now build my whole practice around: nutrition and bodywork are powerful tools for improving a horse's quality of life.

The Practice Today
Fiber & Function Equine Therapies combines evidence-based bodywork with functional nutrition to help horses move better, feel better, and thrive.
I work with performance horses, seniors, rescues, and horses recovering from injury or chronic health challenges. My goal is always to support the whole horse through compassionate, individualized care that addresses the root cause — not just the symptoms.
“My greatest joy is watching owners rediscover the horse they knew was still in there all along.”
The Herd
Every horse in my own barn has taught me something. Meet the three who keep me honest.
